PDP Enrollment by State, County, and Contract

This dataset provides monthly enrollment counts for stand-alone Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs)and Employer-Sponsored PDPs, broken down by state, county, and CMS contract ID.

Data reflects the number of beneficiaries enrolled in each PDP contract based on the Social Security Administration's legal residence data, which is used for CMS payment purposes.

Note:

• Medicare Advantage (MA) and MA-PD plans are not included in this file.

• Enrollment counts of 10 or fewer are suppressed for privacy reasons and excluded from this version.

• A beneficiary may appear in a county outside of a plan’s official service area if a change of address is pending in SSA records.
